Typical career for hired engineers
Starting DS engineers spend around 3 to 5 years at a position, and then can become manager of 2 or 3 persons. After 10 years, according to his/her experience and accurate knowledge on DS products, an engineer can become a business engineer.
International mobility policy
At DS, there are 3 possibilities: - A 1 to 5 year mobility, - A less than one year mobility, - A permanent transfer: more than 5 years with no coming back. The first two ones should respond to a business need and should bring value added; the last one is more personal and is individually studied. The current policy is to harmonize these 3 processes.
